Scouting Talent: Polar Bear Music receives many demos from artists and songwriters across Canada. Each demo undergoes a meticulous two tiered assessment process. Of the hundreds of demos received only a handful are chosen.
Polar Bear Music prides itself in representing a select few - the cream of the crop, thereby dictating and maximizing its resources for the achievement of the artist's career objectives.
Production: Polar Bear's in house production team does more than produce demo and CD product. Our goal is to build confidence and encourage creative experimentation in our artists.
Tenacity, practice and attention to detail is stressed as the craft of music production is explored.
Career Development:
Musical and Stage Development
Polar Bear artists are provided with extensive training. Singers, instrumentalists and songwriters are encouraged to expand their abilities to compete on the international platform.
Singers receive proper vocal instruction to improve range, power, tone and endurance. A proper warm up routine is developed. Ear training is also introduced to maximize musicianship.
Instrumentalists are also taught proper warm up and practice routines. Technical exercises, theory and ear training are part of their workout program.
All Polar Bear artists are encouraged to develop and explore their own creativity through analyzing arrangements, song forms, melody, lyric and chord progression.
In terms of stage development, entertainment is stressed. The love of performing and reaching an audience with honest passion is the goal.
Marketing: Critical to any artist's success is the achievement of a contract with a reputable record company or publisher. Polar Bear Music utilizes a network of major industry representatives, communicating with them directly and presenting a marketing package for all of our artists. In doing so Polar Bear Music also provides a report of the artist's / songwriter's progress.
